demons: A mounted German scouting party photographed giving the password to a hidden sentry scout along the Eastern Front in Hungary, sometime in 1944.
runfortheskylines: German soldiers and a Czech made Panzer 38t dismounting from an armoured train, probably to fight Russian Partisans. Each armoured train also carried some light tanks, usually of Czech or French origin for reconaisance and mobile armoured support.
lowcountrydigitallibrary: A black and white photograph taken shortly after the liberation of the Concentration Camp Buchenwald in Germany in April 1945.  The photograph is of living conditions at Buchenwald, specifically the sewage draining downhill.  Living conditions and food rations worsened as one went further down the hill.  Part of the Holocaust Archives Project.
